I work in the same strip mall as this restaurant, and honestly I now look forward to working on weekends just so I can eat here. Not only is the food amazing, but the staff too. Everybody's always wearing a smile, happy to see you, and eager to reconnect with you. Beyond that, I feel like family everytime I come in, just because of how they treat me. I get a delicious meal, great service and family-like experience every time. It's gotta be one of the most community oriented restaurants I've ever been to. I can't recommend this place enough!
I cannot believe how miraculous this place is. I usually come in every Saturday to order for 10 of my employees and the owner is so attentive. Everything was on point! From the moment you walk in you get greeted and attended. Everything is on time and the food is amazing!! I will be a long time customer for life. P.S my favorite thing to order is the Chilaquiles with carne asada (:
Cindy was very hospitable and helpful! I love the fact that it's family-owned & super clean. The food was fresh and hot and didn't disappoint AT ALL! I take my hat off to the chef/cook. When I'm in the area I know to start coming here now. Cindy provided me with an array of options of things to try for a first time customer, considering my eyes were bigger than my stomach.
This place hit the spot after celebrating a wedding the night before. I got the El Jefe breakfast burrito w/ chorizo, which was amazingly delicious. My girlfriend got the El Patron burrito with shredded beef, which was also tasty! Heads up though, the micheladas come w/ ice, so we just ordered it without. Awesome service & comfortable ambience.

Stopped by for Saturday brunch with my mother. We were seated right away at a booth and given time to go over the menu. Chips and salsa were served while we were deciding what to eat, chips were warm, salsa with a bit of a kick to it. I ordered a tostada and my mom ordered the chilaquiles from the breakfast menu. We also ordered a chicken enchilada a la carte. The food was so good, chicken was tender and soft. My tostada came with guac and sour cream, I only wish there was a little more guac, you get a tiny tiny scoop of it. Can't wait to come back, the service itself is a reason to re-visit, they really treat you well here.
IJS.. My Review.....I love Mexican food. Especially Tacos....If you're in Downey area stop by and support this family owned business of 34 years. My first time and everything was delicious. I'm full but wish I had another Taco. Rice & Beans was soooo seasoned.. My review.. IJS
